WENDY POIRIER – OWNER

wendyWendy comes from a family business, currently in its third generation and she possesses a strong entrepreneurial spirit from listening to “business talk” most of her life. She began to learn accounting as a sophomore in high school and continued her schooling in the evenings, while working full time during the day, to obtain her BA in Accounting and then her MBA in Finance from American International College in Springfield, MA.

She developed a solid foundation of accounting experience in the property management field for nine years where she started out in an entry level position and worked her way into to the role of Accountant and Office Manager, and then later on as an Assistant Property Manager. Wendy has also worked six years in the construction industry with over four of those years in a Controller’s position. Her overall accounting experience includes accounting for various ownership structures including Sole Proprietors, Partnerships, LLC’s, Non-Profits and Corporations.

Wendy’s high level of organization and desire to know all of the details allows her to understand the big picture of how things are working…or not working – and help you fix it. She believes that your life, business and books will run smoothly and prevent panic and chaos with organization, efficient procedures, systems and accountability.

In her personal time, Wendy likes to be active with weight training, walking, hiking and doing yardwork. She also has a crafty and creative side and her favorite type of vacation is a cruise. She loves anything water related including water sports and swimming in the ocean!

JANE – BOOKKEEPER

Jane has many years of experience in theatre and performing arts as well as background in bookkeeping work for the same industry. She loves to work behind the scenes with numbers, and loves the precision of it. She also loves the structured monthly cycle of bookkeeping as this is our goal for each client where accountability and systematic controls are paramount.

Working at Meticulous Matters, Inc. has been a great position for Jane since moving back from Nantucket, MA where she resided for many years. She enjoys the flexibility, atmosphere and vibe she gets working in her position and she especially loves getting a sense of who our clients are through their bookkeeping transactions and by viewing their websites ongoing.

Jane is very independent and very interested in health and wellness. She loves to travel back to Nantucket often to visit friends.

LAUREN – BOOKKEEPER

laurenLauren is a business professional who received her bachelor’s degree from UMass-Amherst’s Isenberg School of Management. She has over seven years of experience in Human Resources and Recruiting and over four years experience in Business Operations and Administration. She has gained experience in the areas of accounting, finance, and marketing which is an asset to the company.

Lauren has worked in industries such as Advertising, Marketing, Staffing, and Information Technology where the client base she worked with ranged from local small businesses up through Fortune 500 companies. She brings a strong attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills to her role. Lauren has a knack for being the person behind the scenes who makes things run smoothly and efficiently.

When she isn’t sitting behind the desk, Lauren enjoys staying as active as possible. Whether it’s running, biking, hiking or another test of endurance, she enjoys a good challenge. She also enjoys traveling and outdoor adventures with her spouse and their pup, Finn.
